The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Conducting project cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Measuring and valuing construction works.
- Preparing interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring expenditures remain within approved budgets.
- Evaluating contractor and supplier quotations.
- Managing procurement processes and contract administration.
- Preparing variation orders and assessing claims.
- Advising management on cost control measures and value engineering opportunities.
- Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and verify completed works.
- Preparing periodic cost reports and other quantity surveying documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
- Membership with a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 1 year practical experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Demonstrable knowledge of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and cost management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quantity surveying software.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Site Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis, and preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a site engineering role
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of construction methods and quality standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- EIZ registration is an added advantage
We need experienced Foremen who can lead construction crews, maintain site discipline, and ensure work is delivered to the quality standards Kazilimani is known for. You will be the link between our site engineers and the working crew on the ground.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in construction
- Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial building methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to manage a team of 10 or more workers
- A firm commitment to safety and zero-tolerance for shortcuts
We are looking for licensed electricians for ongoing and upcoming residential and commercial building projects. You will be responsible for all electrical installation work including wiring, distribution board setup, lighting systems, and final testing and certification.
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Zambian electrical installation licence
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on installation experience
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects
- Ability to work from drawings and cable schedules
- Strong attention to safety and compliance standards
An experienced Project Manager is required to lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent construction projects. You will manage client relationships, subcontractor performance, budgets, and programme schedules, reporting directly to senior management.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Excellent client-facing communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage
